Northwest Texas Healthcare System is excited to announce a new partnership with EmCare.

EmCare is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Emergency Medical Services Corporation and is the nation's leading provider of emergency care, providing services to more than 380 client hospitals in 40 states, including many of the top 100 hospitals in the United States.

The Company partners with more than 85 client hospitals in Texas, including a Level I Trauma Center and several Level II and III Trauma Centers. EmCare has 12 Texas-based Academic Affiliated Hospitals, including the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, a Texas Tech-affiliated program. The company also manages several hospitals that are affiliated with Emergency Medicine Residency Programs. EmCare, both directly and through its managed companies, is able to offer an unparalleled partnership in the delivery of high-quality care.

We will be able to increase the daily hours of provider coverage from 48 hours to 68 hours through this partnership, greatly improving the services to the patients.

Lifestar -- A New Horizon

LifestarThe LIFESTAR service of Northwest Texas Healthcare System (NWTHS), in partnership with Med-Trans Corporation, is proud to begin medical transport service with the new Bell 407 helicopter.

For the past 14 years, LIFESTAR has served patients in an approximate 150-mile radius that includes Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma and Kansas. As part of the only Level III Trauma Center in Amarillo and the region's referral center for trauma services in the Panhandle, NWTHS is pleased to continue to provide qualified healthcare for patients in the region.

Med-Trans Corporation, in partnership with NWTHS, is providing two new aircrafts, with the second helicopter, the EC 135, expected to be in service by fall 2008. The Med-Trans Corporation (Dallas, TX) is a leading provider of air ambulance programs that focus on establishing partnerships with leading hospital systems, medical centers and EMS agencies.
