Northwest Texas Healthcare System, in coordination with Amarillo Speech and Hearing Center, offers complete audiology services at the Speech & Language Center. They provide comprehensive one-on-one evaluation, treatment and management of hearing disorders.

The audiology staff interacts with all disciplines, including neurosciences, otolaryngology, gerontology, hematology, oncology and general medicine. Audiology services are provided to outpatients.

The clinical expertise and core values of compassion and respect demonstrate the staff's firm commitment to providing high quality care for patients.

Patients Served
Services are provided to infants, adolescents, adults and seniors with hearing loss/problems related to:
  • Prematurity (infants)
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Oncology
  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Stroke
  • Head injury
  • Brain tumor
  • Age-related hearing loss
  • Medical-related hearing loss
  • Tinnitus (ringing in the ear)
  • Vertigo (dizziness)
Services
The Audiology Department provides evaluative, preventative and rehabilitative audiological services to people with known or suspected hearing loss or related problems. The staff provides patients with comprehensive diagnostic services and one-to-one education about hearing loss, how to compensate for hearing loss and use of hearing aids.
 
Location/Hours
The Audiology Center is located in the Amarillo Speech & Hearing Center. Appointments are scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
