Insurance

You are responsible for the total charges for the care and treatment you receive at Northwest Texas Healthcare System. In most cases, the hospital will accept your assignment of insurance benefits and will forward your hospital bill directly to the insurance company. The hospital will allow 120 days from the date that the insurance company is billed for payment. If you have not received a notice of payment from your insurer within 45 days of service, the hospital recommends that you contact the insurer directly and encourage speedy payment. If the insurance company has not sent payment to the hospital within 120 days, the status of your account will change from "insurance pay" to "patient pay." At that time, you will be expected to make prompt payment.

All patients should familiarize themselves with the terms of their insurance coverage. This will help you understand the hospital's billing procedures and charges.

If there is a question about your insurance coverage, a financial counselor will contact you or a member of your family while you are here. Certain information is needed to process your claims.

On the Job

A Work Injury Program of Northwest Texas Healthcare System

On the Job...
means taking the time to care about your employees' well-being while, at the same time, maintaining their productivity and managing the cost of treating work-related injuries.

This program provides a comprehensive Continuum of Care to meet the healthcare needs of the injured employee during the entire course of treatment.

To do this, Northwest Texas Healthcare System has partnered with local medical providers to provide healthcare that is focused specifically on the needs of the injured worker.

Case Management
On the Job emphasizes the importance of managing each employee's medical care. This program is based on the concept that an employee's needs are best met by a team of medical professionals who are networked together through case management.

On the Job...
says you know how important time is to your company and your employees. This program ensures that your employee gets quality, cost-effective healthcare and ensures you, the employer, that your employee stays where you need him or her most... On the Job.

Panel of Specialists
A panel of medical specialists from this area has been developed to meet the needs of all injured workers. These physicians provide quality, cost-effective medical care and understand the importance of keeping the injured employee active in the workplace.

Physical and Occupational Therapy
A dedicated staff of physical and occupational therapists is available to treat the injured worker. Established treatment protocols, based on The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons' Standards of Practice, are used to help ensure that goal-oriented therapy is provided to enhance the injured worker's recovery.

On the Job...
is the prevention of work-related injury and the improvement of the medical treatment of a work injury. This program offers educational services designed to prevent injuries from ever occurring. But if an injury should happen, On the Job provides services that will facilitate the management of the injured worker at every level of care from the time the employee is first hurt until the time he or she is fully recovered.
