About the Hospital

A Tradition of Quality
When it comes to choosing a hospital, one thing is clear: quality counts. And a long tradition of providing medical care in a comfortable and convenient environment means peace of mind for the thousands of patients cared for by the doctors and nurses at Northwest Texas Healthcare System each year.

As a designated tertiary care academic institution, the hospital provides physicians and patients advanced technological innovations for diagnosis and treatment of the most acute clinical conditions. The emergency department is a certified Level-III Trauma Center and sees approximately 57,000 patients annually.

In May 1996, Northwest Texas Healthcare System was re-established as a for-profit hospital. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission, with the distinction of "Commendation" on two consecutive surveys, and licensed by the state Regulatory Affairs Department.
